Should I Take a Pontoon Boat Offshore?

​Being in the marine industry, we get asked frequently whether or not pontoon/tri-toon boats can be taken offshore.  Check out this article on BoatTest.com to read up on whether or not it is a good idea for you to take your boat out on questionable water.

Pontoon boats were not designed for rough sea states and to take one out in such conditions is irresponsible.

While pontoon boats have great initial form stability, obviously there are conditions that they were not designed to handle.
